| 摘 要： | 从古老的修辞学到专门研究文体的文体学,文体历来受到人们的重视。文章尝试用韩礼德的系统功能语法对六篇英语论文摘要进行定量研究,并进而对其文体特色做出相应描述。通过对数据的定性分析,我们发现,学术论文所呈现的文体特点是由它自身的交际功能决定的。

| Abstract: | Language style has always enjoyed widespread attention from ancient times up till now, as is demonstrated in the flourish of rhetoric in the past and the stylistics in the present time. This article attempts to investigate the stylistic characteristics of abstracts, which are representative of academic writing, from the perspective of Systemic- Functional Grammar claimed by Halliday. The research is conducted with a quantitative analysis of six abstracts, which are all randomly taken from academic journals. Results show that the particular stylistic characteristics of academic writings have an intrinsic relationship with their communicational functions. |
