Competitive Strategy or Cooperative Strategy: Due to the Costs——The Dual-Channel Supply-Chain Design under Individual Choice

The design of dual-channel supply-chain under individual choice was studied.Our result shows that when both channels have lower costs,the manufacture should develop an e-commerce channel to compete with its own retailer for more profits.And this makes the retailer cut down the retail price and lost part of his profit.However,when the costs of both channels are higher,the previous results maybe all totally different.Under the last situation,the manufacture should consider more about the influence of the costs,before choosing competitive strategy or cooperative strategy so that it can successfully avoid the potential decreasing of market demand and always gain the optimal profit.
