英语广告语的语言特征

摘    要:英语广告的语言在词汇、句法、篇章上有其独特的语言特点,从语言的意义、风格以及功能去分析,可以发现广告英语的共性以及广告英语在不同类型广告中的特殊性。

Abstract:This pape r presents an analytical study of the language features of English advertisements at lexical, syntactic and discourse levels. In order to conduct a data-driven s tudy, the author builds a corpus of some English advertisements. Similarities a nd differences in advertising language features can be summarized and possible r easons will be given in the light of the meaning and function of language. In t he analysis, examples from the corpus will be given; figures, tables and graphs will also be offered to make the paper understandable and persuasive.
