A Survey of Traditional Manual Papermaking by Dong People at Dimen

This paper,based on the research materials about Dong people’s manual papermaking at Dimen in Guizhou province,discusses the application of the paper,the preservation of the paper making techniques and the reasons why preserve them,the social relations resulted from the papermaking and feeling of people toward them.Both techniques borrowed from the outside and those inherited from the forefathers then adapted by the craftsman contribute to the manual papermaking of Dong people at Dimen.
