职场英语面试话语突显意义的多视角研究

摘    要:围绕职场英语面试中话语突显度对真实情景语境的修正、优化及重构这一论题,借助突显一认知语言学在词句层面分析的基本认知方式之一,以Brazil关于话语语调体系的研究与Giora的层级性突显假设(the Graded Salience Hypothesis)为理论框架,阐释重读词项或音节对词本义突显度产生的作用以及显示突显度的词汇衔接手段;在比喻或习语层面多视角地诠释话语突显意义,探析实现语篇连贯的途径;概括对语言和教学研究若干可行而有益的启示。

Abstract:By resorting to salience, one of the basic cognitive linguistic models aiming at the analysis of the issues on lexical and syntactical levels, the author focuses on the impact of discourse salience on the modification, improvement and reconstruction of real situational contexts in English job interviews. Based on Brazil's research on the discourse intonation system and Giora's theory of the Graded Salience Hypothesis, this paper firstly illustrates the roles of accented lexical words or syllables in the production of lexical salience as well as some lexical cohesive means for the manifestation of salience, and then some proper approaches concerning both the illustration of discourse salient meaning and the realization of textual coherence are multidimensionally discussed at figurative or idiomatic level. Finally some feasible and beneficial linguistic and pedagogical implications are summed up
