The importance of population, environment and resources is unparalleled in nowadays. And this understanding was advocated and propagated by people of insight in China's history. Historical literature such as Yizhoushu, History by Lu, Mencius, Collected Works of Mister Zhen Chuan, emphasized the ideas of season, land maintename and water control in the hope of sustainable development of humanity. Even in the depressed times after the War of Resistance Against Japan, China had never ignored the protection of the natural environment either.
