| Abstract: | The individuals of a population reproduce according to either the line arbirth process or the line arbirth- death process and simultaneously and independently migrate on the set of all integers according to a random walk in continuous time. The maximum likelihood estimators of the transition rates are obtained and their finite time and asymptotic properties are studied. |
