| 摘 要： | 在众多构成“编辑”这种社会活动的要素之中，选择应是首要原质。采用反证与正证相结合方法，通过论证加工整理不是编辑要素之首要原质、策划也不是编辑要素之首要原质和从社会关系看编辑要素之首要原质也是选择，进一步说明选择是编辑要素之首要原质。

| Abstract: | Choice should come first in the variety of requirements for an editor's work.Neither proof nor disproof,nor their combination,demonstration,polishing or plotting should come first.The same is true from the point of view of social relations,which further shows why choice should be the paramount requirement for an editor. |
