| 摘 要： | 关于"觉"的意义和"睡觉"成词的年代等问题,众说纷纭.据我们大量考察,"觉"的动量用法在中唐已大量出现,"睡觉"成词至晚唐才有少量用例."睡觉"一词并非偏义复词,而是由同义语素构成的复合词."觉"至迟在唐代已从睡醒义引申出睡眠义.

| Abstract: | There are many arguments about the meaning of "jiao" and the time of the wordforming of "shuijiao". According to a large number of our inspection,the usage of verb-measure word of "jiao"has emerged greatly in the Middle Tang Dynasty. A few of examples of the word "shuijiao" have been found in the Late Tang Dynasty. The word is not a pianyi compound word. It is a word composed by two synonymous morphemes."jiao"has extended the meaning of "sleep" from "wake up" in the Tang Dynasty at the latest. |
