20世纪史家对“通史家风”的继承和发展

Carrying Forward and Developing the Tradition of Chinese General Historiography in 20th Century

Tongshijiafeng, as a tradition of Chinese general historiography was carried forward and developed by historians in 20th century. Firstly, the idea of the change from ancient times to the present age was developed to probe laws of the development of history. Secondly, Chinese history was reflected on every side. Thirdly, the idea that history can help to administer a country was replaced by the concept that history can heighten the love of the motherland and the sense of national unity. This reflected the relationship between modem history and traditional history.
