| Abstract: | This paper not only summarizes the discussions by scholars from both at home and abroad on the equality of opportunity in education, but inquires into its significance and the class and social bases affecting it as well. After studying the conditioning forces on the equality of opportunity in education in our country where socialism is still at its primary stage, this paper discusses the basic principles to be observed in our reform of education. |
