Abstract:The key point to successfully apply project management contract (PMC) in construction project is appropriate incentive contracts. Through analyzing the respective risks taken by both parties, contract transaction fee, and the uncertainty of project execution and project design, it points out the necessity of choosing the cost plus incentive fee (CPIF) contract, between the employer and the project management contractor. Based on the characteristics of PMC, the model of CPIF contract is founded, and the related indicators are broken down. CPIF contract helps the two parties cooperate better, and makes the success of the whole project basic to the project management contractor's profit, thus a long-term partnership tends to establish between the two parties.
