Discussion about the Principle and Model of Group Work in AIDS Prevention and Control

Based on the principle of respect and confidentiality, mutual reciprocity, democratic participa-tion and empowerment, group work can effectively alleviate PLWA's and related population's emotional prob-lems, promote PLWA's and related population's knowledge and skills about AIDS prevention and control, promote mutual help and social support network among PLWA, and realize the social acceptance and integra-tion. Specifically, the group work can carry on the AIDS prevention and control through of these four models including of treatment mode, mutual mode, social goal mode and development mode.
