富兰克林·罗斯福政府的土地资源保护政策述析

A Review of Franklin Roosevelt Administration' s Land Resources Protection Policies

In the 1930s,land resources of the United States,especially in the Great Plains,faced serious ecological crisis.After acceding to American presidency,under the banner and the background of the＂New Deal＂,Franklin Roosevelt administration took a series of measures to deal with soil erosion problems.These measures include a systematic scientific investigation on the western great plains,the enactment of the Land Protection Act,the establishment of special protection and management institutions of land resources,limiting agriculture production,land fallowing and controling grazing activities on public land.Through these measures,Franklin Roosevelt administration had effectively protected America＇s land resources.In this paper,we want to give a review on these policies,so as to show that land protection policies are the important part of the New Deal,and stand an important position in land resources protection policy history in the United States.
