| 摘 要： | 《兔子跑吧》一书让约翰·厄普代克和哈里·安斯特朗都一举成名。主人公兔子曾经是一个著名的篮球明星。事业的辉煌除了带给他荣誉、掌声和爱情之外，也带给他自我实现的感觉以及自我实现后的副产品——频繁、强烈而且纯粹的高峰体验。自我实现论，高峰体验论是马斯洛人本哲学的重要组成，加上需求理论构成了人本哲学的三大支柱。然而在《兔子跑吧》中，兔子哈里一直在奔跑，在寻找。试图找回曾经带给他极度震撼和欣喜的自我实现与高峰体验。最终对女儿的爱使他再度感受到高峰体验。然而由于社会环境的限制使他无法满足自己的基本需求，以及人与生俱来的对于自己和他人最美好品质的惧怕，也就是马斯洛所称的“约拿情节”的束缚，他没有再次达到自我实现。

| Abstract: | John Updike gained his reputation and fame by Rabbit, Run, so did Harry Angstrom. Rabbit was a basketball star, which drew forth honors, applause and love. He experiences self-actualization and peak experiences. Self-actualization, peak experience and hierarchy of needs sustain the humanistic philosophy of Maslow. Rabbit Harry ran and searched all the time for the lost peak experience and self-actualization. He tasted of the peak experience for the love to daughter at the end. However, he couldn＇t gratify his B-needs because of the social circumstance. Plus the Jonah Complex, he never was a self-actualizer again. |
