| Abstract: | During the Korean War,Harry S.Truman declined Chiang Kai-shek's request to dispatch troops to Korea for the reasons as follows: to avoid expansion of conflicts between the U.S.and Soviet Union,and that between U.S.and P.R.C.;to prevent Taiwan from being captured by the PLA,and the split of the allied countries;his suspicion on the performance of Chiang Kai-shek's troops. |
