桂北平话语音演变的一些遗迹

在我们过去广西平话的一些文章中,除了介绍平话的一般情况外,还根据各地语音的不同把它们分为桂南平话和桂北平话两片。桂北平话又可以分为融柳(融水、柳江)和灵龙(灵川、龙胜)两个小区。融柳小区与桂南平话的语音比较接近;灵龙小区(有同志称为两灵区———两江、灵川)的平话因韵尾变化合并较多而显得差别较大。文章刊出后,有些同志对这种观点表示认同;有些同志(如韦树关)认为融柳平话与桂南平话相同,应该是有别于粤方言和其他汉语方言的一个独立的汉语方言,而桂北平话(他指的是灵龙小区)韵尾简化特多,应属湘方言。还有些同志(如詹伯慧)认为桂南平话应属粤方言,而桂北平话还不能下结论,但反正不能归入湘方言。本文主要是从桂北平话的历史发展过程来说明灵龙区平话早期发展的情况与融柳区平话是一致的,桂北各地壮话中的汉语老借词读音就充分证明了这一点。至于平话为什么不是粤方言的一支这个问题,我们将另文探讨。

On the Evolutive Traces of the Speech Sounds of Ping Dialect in North Guangxi

In some of our former academic papers about the Ping Dialect in Guangxi,we have introduced the general situations of the dialect to readers and also divided it into two regions according to the different speech sounds,i.e.the Ping Dialect in south Guangxi and that in north Guangxi.The Dialect in north Guangxi can again be divided into Rongliu region(short for Rongshui county and Liujiang county) and Linglong region(short for Lingchuan county and Longsheng county).The sounds of the Rongliu region especially approximate to those in south Guangxi.But the Ping Dialect in Linglong region seems to be quite different due to more blending of the end rhymes.After the publication of these papers,some comrades agreed to these ideas,but some others(such as Mr.Wei Shu-guan) thought that the Ping Dialect in Rongliu region,similar to that in south Guangxi,should be an independent Chinese dialect differing from Cantonese dialect and other Chinese dialects.Meanwhile,the Ping Dialect in north Guangxi(he means that in Linglong region) should belong to Hunan Dialect due to more simplification in end rhymes.Some more comrades(such as Zhan Bo-hui) thought that the Ping Dialect in south Guangxi should belong to Cantonese Dialect,and that in north Guangxi,which has not been concluded so far,could not be included into Hunan Dialect.This paper mainly explains that the earlier evolutive conditions of the Ping Dialect in Linglong region resembled to those in Rongliu region from the development of the Ping Dialect in north Guangxi,which can be told from the sounds which the Zhuang dialects borrows from the Han dialects.As for the reasons why Ping Dialect is not a branch of the Cantonese Dialect,we will discuss in some other papers.
