| Abstract: | Based on the case study of Puritanism, this paper deals with the analysis of American culture by employing contextualism in an attempt to demonstrate the impact of context upon the intellectual culture; and to reveal the instrumental role the theory plays in expounding American culture. This paper is supposed to be the first of its kind for the context theory to be applied to the demonstration of practical cases such as culture. |
