Through the analysis of atmosphere,plot setting,and characters＇ psychological activity in Chun Xiang,the special features of this novel is presented.It likes the still waters,which makes a distance between the characters and the readers： the implicit and explicit plot,the sad and mystic atmosphere,the skips in the narrative chains,the dialogues driven by plot,the characters＇ restrained inner worlds and so on.The difficulty for females in lowest class to make a living,their tolerance towards the world and their gloom mentality cannot be touched like the iceberg deep beneath the water.Therefore,the dominant legend described in the novel is just the recessive presentation of freedom.
