| Abstract: | The outstanding achievement in palaeophonological studies in the Qing dynasty is much attributed to the fine scholarship of the palaeophonologists: life-long devotion with high concentration, advocating informed but not indiscriminate inheritance and encouraging improvement and breakthroughs, rewarding excellent junior scholars, holding teacher-students seminars for meticulous pursuit of their studies. |
