论禹都阳城为颍川阳城－兼与《禹都阳城即濮阳说》一文商榷

徐旭生先生在研究分析有关夏代文献记载的基础上,于1959年夏天亲赴豫西4县作"夏墟"的考古调查.第一个目标是颍川阳城,即登封告成镇.结果在镇西南约1公里处发现了八方遗址,内涵有仰韶、龙山和洛阳东干沟遗址类型的文化遗物.调查的初步报告公布以后,引起学术界的重视和注意.从1977年开始,河南省文物研究所,对八方遗址(即现在的王城岗遗址)作了长达4年的考古发掘,取得丰硕的成果.同时,又在镇的东北部调查并试掘了一座春秋战国至汉代的古"阳城".发现在战国陶豆上戳印有"阳城仓器"的文字,为告成即禹都阳城提供了重要的实物旁证.并进而从各相关方面作出论证,禹都阳城为颍川阳城,即今登封告成王城岗遗址,禹都阳城不在濮阳.

Yu's Capital Yangcheng is Yangcheng in Yingchuan--A discussion with author of Yu's capital Yangcheng is at Puyang

Based on the analysis and research work of the related records a nd documents of Xia Dynasty, In summer of 1959,Mr. Xu Xu did an on-the-spot archaeolo gical investigation on "the Ruins of Xia dynasty In the four counties of Henan P rovince. His first destination is Yangchen, i.e. Town of Gaocheng in Dengfeng, H enan Province. At southwest of Town of Yangcheng, about one kilometer away, He d iscovered Bafang Ruin, including sites of Yangshao, Longshan and Donggangou of L uoYang. The report about this discovery drew the interests and attention in the academic circles. From 1977, the Institute of Archaeology of Henan Province did a four-year archaeological excavation at Bafang Ruin (Town of Wangchenggang) and achieved great successes. Meanwhile, they also did a trial excavation at an anc ient "Yangchen" at period of Spring and Autumn and War States, where they discov ered a pottery with "Yangchen Utensil", which proved that Town of Gaocheng is Yu 's capital Yangcheng. With further examination, the experts expounded that Yu's capital Yangcheng should be Yangchen in Yingchuan, i.e. the Gaocheng WangchengGa ng Ruin in Dengfeng rather than in Puyang.
