实现人的自由全面发展是人类社会发展进步的终极目标和至善至美的终极状态。建设中国特色社会主义,全面建设小康社会,其核心目标是解放生产力,发展经济,扩大劳动就业,在现实和可能性的基础上造福于人民,因而我们必须对人的自由和发展程度的有限性问题作出科学和理性意义上的阐释和理解。

Dialectic Understanding of Human Liberty and Overall Development

The realization of human beings’ free and overall development is the ultimate goal of the development and progress of human society, and the ultimate state of utmost goodness and utmost beauty. The historical conditions and the social premises set for this goal by the classical writers of Marxism are scientific and rigid. Actually, they hold that only with the end of social work division and the entrance of communism society, can the human beings fulfill the goal of free and overall development. The realization of the free and overall development of human beings is an objective historical process. In terms of kind, the free and overall development of human beings is possessed of possibility while in the sense of individual life, this sort of development is always limited. Even in the sense ofpossibility, the free and overall development is actualized through a sequence of conflicts and paradoxes with human limited freedom and partial development as the premise and price. The key goal in the construction of the socialism with Chinese characteristics and in the overall construction of well-off society is to emancipate productivity, develop economy, expand employment opportunities, and benefit the people on the basis of the realities and possibilities. Therefore, we must offer scientific and rational interpretation and understanding of the issues of limitedness of the extent of human freedom and development.
