对维吾尔谚语汉译和民族文化有关问题的探讨

正确理解和深刻领会原文 ,是翻译质量好坏的关键和前提 ,背离了这个前提 ,译作将会变得面目全非。维吾尔谚语就其本质而言 ,是民族文化的集中体现 ,人为地从谚语中提取个别词语 ,并将其界定为“民族文化词”的做法是不可取的 ,无根据地为谚语设定“隐形文化背景”更是荒谬的。谚语的汉译是译给汉族读者的 ,必须在汉语言的表达习惯和语言框架内进行操作。

Chinese Translation of Uygur Sayings and Problems of Nationality Culture

Correct understanding and good mastery of the original text is the key and pre-requisite of translation quality. No translation can exist without this pre-requisite. Uygur saying is one of refined forms of nationality culture. It is wrong and absurd to select only a few of them, define them as "words of nationality culture" and set an "invisible cultural background" for these sayings. Chinese translation aims at the readers of Chinese language, therefore, they should be done according to the feature of Chinese expression and language frame.
