| Abstract: | History is one of China's most important traditional branches of the humanities, but it is very much different from two other branches, namely literature and ph ilosophy. In terms of the nature of discipline and the research approaches, hist ory displays the characteristics of both social science and natural science. Thi s paper supports the argument by citing some Chinese or foreign, modern or ancie nt examples. |
