赫尔利赴华使命的失败及原因论析

抗战后期美国对华战略目标:一是调动中国社会各方面力量彻底打败日本侵略势力;二是使中国成为一个强大和对美“友好”的国家,在战后能够遏止苏联向东亚和太平洋地区扩展的势头。赫尔利来华后的实际结果是使美国终止了现实主义的对华政策而确立了扶蒋反共政策,导致美国对华战略目标最终走向失败。赫尔利赴华使命失败的原因一是对中国共产党的发展状况缺乏应有的了解;二是对国民党的专制主义本性缺乏认识;三是低估了中共的政治智慧。

Discussion and Analysis of the Hurley's Failure in the Diplomatic Mission to China and the Corresponding Causes

The tactic target that the United States wanted to realize in China in the anaphase of resisting Japan:firstly,manoeuvring every kind strength in Chinese society to defeat Japanese;secondly, making China become a might country,which could keep amity with America,and holding back the tendency of Soviet Union's expansion to eastern Asia and Pacific area after the War.The factual result after Hurley came to China was to make the Unite States stop actualistic policy about China,and establish policy to establish Jiang Jieshi and oppose CCP.The tactic target that the United States want to realize in China could not be carried out finally.Hurley's mission failed,firstly because he was short of knowledge about the status of CCP development.Secondly,he was short of understanding the essence of autocratic nature of Guomingdang.Thirdly,he underestimated Chinese Communist Party's political brightness.
