| Abstract: | Mao Dun once showed interest and gave some introduction to modernism in the West before he took up writing as a profession.And when he started his career of writing after the failure of the Great Revolution in China(1924-1927),his experience and state of mind in the perplexing reality aroused sympathy towards modernism.It was the combination of techniques and this trend of thought that led to his great success in realistic writing. |
