Abstract: | This article reviews some of the research that has been carried out on managerial and executive stress. It indicates that there are a number of potential problem areas: factors intrinsic to the job, role based stress, relationships, career development factors, organizational structure and climate, and the work: family interface. It appears that the area of career development is severely under-researched. |
