Moving into Homelessness After Psychiatric Hospitalization

A six-month follow-up study of 132 former patients of a state hospital examines those subjects who become homeless and compares them with those subjects who do not. A quantitative and qualitative approach is used to document the process of homelessness that occurs after psychiatric hospitalization. A set of policy options is resented that can respond to the special needs of homeless mentally ill persons.
