Elder Abuse Among Asian Indians: Traditional versus Modern Perspectives

ABSTRACT

This article examines different perspectives of elder abuse in the context of traditional cultural values and the effects of modernization in India and acculturation among Indian immigrants to the US. Case examples illustrate general perspectives. Implications for policy, programs, and practice are discussed.
