| 摘 要： | 戊戌变法时期,曾廉以反对变法维新,上书请杀康有为、梁启超而名噪一时;辛亥革命前后,他激烈地反对民主革命,并一直妄图复辟封建制度,是中国近代社会发展和进步的阻碍力量。曾廉是清末民初一个典型的政治保守主义和文化保守主义者。

| Abstract: | Zeng Lian opposed the reform movement in 1898 fiercely, even appealed to the emperor for killing Kang You-wei and Liang Qi-chao. Moreover, he resisted the democratic revolution violently and tried to rebuild the feudal system before and after the Revolution of 1911.Therefore Zeng Lian was an impediment to the development of modern China. Zeng Lian was a typical politics and culture conservative in late Qing dynasty and during the early period of the Republic of China.. |
