Abstract:A mathematic model is presented through analyzing the self-excited phenomenon of the 1420 Tandem Cold Mill.Then the differential model is solved by multi-scale perturbation method,and some measures to decrease the vibration are also offered.Testing data show that ony one of the measures is efficient to reduce the rollers' vibration and enhance the stability of the mill.
