Interface Between Technology and Engineering--On the Relation Between Invention and Generation

The relationship between the invention as core of technology process and the generation as core of engineering activity is studied the way they are not only interrelated with but distinguished from each other. The invention of technology and generation in engineering are interlacing with each other, thus enabling human activities to be an interface between them. However, what we should lay stress on the interrelation or on the distinction shall be under different conditions. In this way the confusion of the capability of fulfilling an engineering project with the technical level of the project can thus be avoided and, on the other hand, the possibilities of invention and novelty may be enhanced through the interface between invention and generation so as to provide an important platform where the generation activity in engineering will accelerate the technical progress including invention/creation.
