| 摘 要： | 苏威是北周和隋王朝的一位重臣，《辞海》、《中国人 名大辞典》等工具书对其生卒年的认定是错误的。出现这一错误的原因是：治史者对历史记 载的不认真考察，或者是对《资治通鉴》的语言表述、记事笔法的不甚了解。苏威正确的生 卒年应是公元５４２—６２３年。

| Abstract: | Neither Grand Dictionary nor Gr and Dictionary of Chinese Names holds right views regarding the years of t he birth and death of Su Wei, a high official of the Northern Zhou and the Sui Dynasty, because history compilers didn＇t make a serious inspection of historical records or were content with superficial understanding of the special method ofthe narration of Zi Zhi Tong Jian. Actually, SuWei was born in 54 2A.D. and died in 623A.D.. |
