| Abstract: | For a long time, the study of English idioms both at home and abroad have observed the main feature of fixity. In recent years, some scholars abroad have begun to pay more attention to the transformational ability of idioms and found that this ability is syntactically and functionally insufficient. This paper analyzes the different aspects of transformation of idioms with a view to arousing sufficient attention to the study of English idioms in China. |
