On the Validity of International Regimes From the Perspective of Transaction Costs

Transaction costs is one most pivotal concept of new institutional economics, which can be used to study the international relations. transaction costs mostly originates form the uncertainty of international community in which a state exists and opportunism behavior of a state interacting with another state. International regimes can play important roles in reducing information and intendance sanction costs, creating large-scale effect of international cooperation, and therefore show the validity of international regimes in international cooperation.
