"黄祸论"与"文化民族主义"的历史真义

摘    要:与“中国威胁论”相应的是在近代中国曾经流行一时的“黄祸论”,其对中国未来的忧虑很深。历史的发展恰恰否定了“黄祸论”的结论;中国社会被拉进了近代化的历史进程之中,从中国固有的“天下观”中所具有的世界主义精神来看,中国社会对此的最初反应是对“陈腐世界”的一种抗争;从传统的“天下观”和“朝贡”体制中挣脱出来,中国文化出现了新的觉醒和新的意识,这就是“文化民族主义”的意义,它是中国文化理解世界近代历史的开始,也是中国社会进入世界大家庭时的历史根据。

Abstract:Corresponding to "China Threat",the rhetoric of "Yellow Peril"was once quite popular in modern China,which had a deep concern over the future of China.With the development of history,the conclusion of "Yellow Peril" turned out to be wrong,and the Chinese society has been pulled into the historical process of modernization.Seen from the cosmopolitism embodied in China's inherent "View of Tianxia"(View of All beneath The sky),the initial response of the Chinese society to the "Perished World" was an opposition.Breaking loose from the traditional "View of Tianxia" and the system of paying tributes,the Chinese culture was awakened and embraced a new consiousness.That was the significance of "Cultural Nationalism",which marked that the Chinese culture was begining to understand modern world history and which also functioned as a historical basis for the Chinese society to enter the "world family".
