Negotiations between the Modern China and Britain on the Suzerainty over Tibet

At the beginning of the twentieth century,the Britain undertook a strategy by admitting China’s suzerainty over Tibet and in fact regarding Tibet as "an independent country"to intergrate the Tibet’s independence which lasted for nearly 50 years and greatly damaged the Chinese sovereignty.The successive central governments of Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China have been firmly against the "suzerainty" fallacy by Britain.The essence of the Sino-British negotiations on the"suzerainty"over Tibet was a struggle to safeguard China’s sovereignty and against the intergrating independence.
