The goddess Paldan Lhamo is one of the protector goddesses of Tibetan Buddhism been imparted into the Snow-land in the beginning of the later prosperity of Tibetan Buddhism.Later she became one of the most important protector goddesses for each sect of Tibetan Buddhism through the dessemination and heightening by those high ranking lamas.Most importantly,she became the red and black protector system of Geluk sect together with Naschong protector god.Making a textual examine of the history and culture of goddess Paldan Lhamo,could bring a clear understanding to the formation and development of the Buddhist protector deity system and the close relationship between religious belief and common customs to the readers.
