Abstract: | To understand the lives of advanced-age people, including their health conditions, lifestyles, marriages, families and psychological needs, and advise policymakers in addressing China's population aging issue, the China Old-Age Research Center and Beijing University jointly conducted a sampling survey of about 10,000 people aged 80 and over in 22 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in 1998. The following is a report of that survey in east China's Jiangsu Province. |
