| 摘 要： | 作为一位对自然充满热爱和敬畏的19世纪美国女作家,萨拉·朱厄特在其作品中描绘了不少动物意象,表达了其对人与自然关系的理解。遗憾的是,这一点在以往的研究中未能得到足够的重视。文章拟在生态批评崛起的背景下,透过这些动物意象,从生态整体主义、生态伦理和生态忧患意识等三方面解读朱厄特的生态观。

| Abstract: | As a writer full of love,awe and respect for nature in the 19th century of America,Sarah Jewett depicts lots of animal images in her works,through which she reflects her unique understanding of the relationship between man and nature.Unfortunately,all of this is overlooked in the past study.With the rising of eco-criticism,this paper attempts to interpret these animal images,hoping to explore in detail Jewett’s eco-consciousness in three aspects： eco-holism,eco-ethics and her sense of eco-worries. |
