一词多义研究中的特征分析法

在一词多义的研究中,有三种主要的理论。在经典理论和原型理论中,出现了两种不同的特征——fea- ture和attribute。而在关系理论中,还有一种特征——semantic feature。文章在‘语义三角’这个理论框架内,对不同理论中的特征进行了统一的研究:发现它们虽然在本质上有所不同,但是在功能和结构上存在一个连续统的关系。这项研究在Ravin和Leacock有关综述的基础上,进一步从方法论的角度揭示了三大理论在特征分析上的联系。在自然语言理解中,有助于把握语义的复杂性以及形式化程度之间的平衡。

Feature Approach in Polysemy Studies

The feature approach is adopted in three major theories of polysemy,namely,classical theory,prototype theory and relational theory.In spite of different understandings in different schools,a continuum is discovered in the aspect of the nature of features as long as the function and the structure of organization.This study helps balance the complexity and formalism,which is vital for NLP.
