北朝侍读考述

北朝统治者为提高自身素养,效法东晋、南朝设立了侍读制度。侍读的职责是陪伴皇帝、太子及宗室王公读书学习,向其传授知识和汉族礼法,监督、规谏其日常行为。侍读地位崇重,在东、西魏对峙时期,开始了职官化的进程。北朝侍读甚重人选,通常挑选知名学者或高门优秀子弟。北朝侍读制度为日后唐宋侍读学士制度的形成奠定了基础。
