| 摘 要： | 胡适的翻译理论和翻译实践在现代中国翻译史上占有一定的位置,将中国现代翻译事业推进到了一个新的时代。他宣布文言翻译的失败,开创了白话文翻译的新路,起到了开风气之先的作用。他特别注重翻译文学的文化意义和思想意义,有力地配合了"五四"思想解放运动。他对现代翻译事业的不懈支持和有力推动,值得人们永远记取。

| Abstract: | Hu Shi's translation theory and prachce has a place in the history of modern Chinese translation and promotes the translation to a new era.He proclaimed the failure of translation in classical Chinese and took his pioneering role of breaking the path of translation in the vernacular.And he paid a clase attention to the cultural and ideological significanee of translated literatute,and supported the May Fourth Movement most effectively.His constant support and promotin truly deserve an everlasting memory. |
