| 摘 要： | 孤立主义和扩张主义是在美国历史上具有重大意义却又貌似迥异的两项重要外交政策。本文从美国历史、文化背景入手,通过对二者的分析和比较,得出它们是受“天赋使命”观和务实精神这两种美国传统文化影响,在特定历史时期为追求最大程度的国家利益而采取的不同手段的外交政策。同时揭示出二者相互渗透,互为作用共同服务于美国国家利益的紧密联系。

| Abstract: | Isolationism and expansionism are two signifinant and seemingly contradictious foreign policies in American history.Through analysis of the background of American history and culture,this thesis reaches the conclusion that they are distinct foreign policies influenced by the American Mission and the Pragmatic Spirit for seeking national interest in special history periods.It reveals the two policies' inseparable relationship with affecting each other and together serving for American national interest. |
