A Good Way to Conducting Moral Education in Foreign Language Teaching-On Moral Function of English Proverbs

In foreign language teaching how to conduct moral education is a problem which is worth discussion. This article discusses the importance of moral education in foreign language teaching, the moral function of English proverbs and how the foreign language teachers to select the related English proverbs according to the ideological contents of the texts in the textbooks,students' practical ideology and social reality to give full play to the moral function of the proverbs to conduct moral education to the studnts. Finally the article appeals to the editors of English textbooks and English teachers to let English proverbs go back to English testbooks and English classes.
