The Genetics and Environment of Higher Education: Concurrently on the Function Transform of the British Traditional Universities

Based on Ashby's theories on genetics and environment of higher education,the paper,by exploring the function transform of the British traditional universities,tries to illustrate the interaction and mutual adaptation of higher education's internal genetics and environment.Though mutually influenced by genetics and environment,the university development is finally decided by its inner logic,while the environment needs universities to make some changes in order to keep the balance.The interaction and coordination between genetics and environment of higher education together promote the development of universities.
