20世纪80～90年代:中国高校更名现象——“北京科技大学”更名始末

上个世纪80年代朱、90年代初，中国出现了各高校纷纷更名现象，北京科技大学也在其列。王润教授作为北京钢铁学院的最后一任院长和北京科技大学的第一任校长，亲历了这次校名更改的全过程。文章就校名更改的原因、经过、社会背最、更名意义等问题与之进行了访谈。通过这一案例，也可窥见社会转型时期中国高等教育改革的一斑。

The Name Changing of University of Science and Technology Beijing

In late 80＇ s and early 90＇ s of last century, many Chinese famous colleges and universities chose to change their names, and University of Science and Technology Beijing is one of them. Professor Wang Run as the last president of Beijing Institute of Iron and Steel Technology and the first president of University of Science and Technology Beijing, witnessed the whole process of the school renaming. In this paper, professor Wang was interviewed about the causes, the whole process, the social background and the influence of the name changing. Through this case Chinese higher education reform in the period of social transformation is shown a glimpse.
