科技翻译对人类科学文化的发展起着重要的推动作用。明末清初以传译西方科技为主流的翻译活动,其影响是十分深远的。此次科技翻译浪潮不仅使我国产生了近世科技的萌芽,同时也冲击着我国禁锢的思想界。百年间,中外译者遗留的译著以及所提出的翻译理念至今仍为译界借鉴。本文通过对此次翻译活动的析评,探究其在科技翻译领域中的重要影响和作用。

Discarding the Dross and Selecting the Essentials to Make the Past Serve the Present——On the Sci-tech Translation during the Late Ming Dynasty and the Early Qing Dynasty

Sci-tech translation propels forward the science and culture of mankind.During the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty,the sci-tech translation became the mainstream of the translation activity and exerted a great influence on China's society.This climax of sci-tech translation not only germinated the modern science,but also pounded the confined ideological field of China at that time.In more than 100 years,the translators at home and abroad left their valuable translation works and useful translation thoughts,all of which are still in use today.Making analyses and comments on the translation activity,this paper probes into its influence and effect in sci-tech translation field.
