“十四五”期间 人脸识别市场发展前景及趋势分析

采用文本挖掘、质性分析与风险分析相结合的方法对Twitter上发布的与人脸识别相关的推文进行研究。通过对具体认知因素和社会事件的分析，从认知和情感两个维度探讨西方公众对人脸识别技术的情感态度变化。研究发现，西方公众体现出了对人脸识别的伦理、技术风险等层面的担忧，与国内公众的态度存在差异性。但是，在新冠疫情期间，能明显看到西方公众对人脸识别技术的态度从负面逐渐转向积极，肯定了人脸识别在防疫方面发挥的重要作用。然而人脸识别技术的运用还不能很好地融入传统社会秩序的构筑之中，因此有必要重视该技术所激发的社会矛盾，并引导公众对其积极、合理的认知。

The ethical application of biometric facial recognition technology

In this paper, text mining, qualitative analysis, and risk analysis were integrated to study facial recognition-related tweets posted on Twitter. By analyzing specific cognitive factors and social events, the paper investigated the change of public attitude in the West toward facial recognition technology from cognitive and emotional dimensions. Research finds that the public in the West have showed concern about the ethical and technical risks of using facial recognition technology, which is different from the public attitude in China; but the public attitude in the West has shifted from negative to positive during the COVID-19 pandemic, affirming the significance of facial recognition technology in pandemic prevention. However, the application of facial recognition technology has not been completely incorporated into the traditional social order. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the social contradictions aroused by using facial recognition and guide the public to develop a positive and reasonable cognition of the technology.
