| 摘 要： | 在老舍的《二马》中,"英国"是一个独特的形象,它既是高傲冷漠的异邦,又是科技先进的理想国度。这种复杂形象中折射出的是老舍面对英国时既拒斥又自卑的矛盾心态,而这种矛盾心态正是中国人与西方交往的历史中心态变化的缩影。

| Abstract: | The image of England in Er Ma is unique for Lao She. He portrayed England as an arrogant and apathetic foreign land as well as an ideal country with advanced science. The complexity of this image reflects Lao She＇s inner struggle between rejection and inferiority on confronting England. This inner contradiction is the very epitome of psychological changes occurred through the history of contact between Chinese and the Westerns. |
